Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house that has a combined gross home earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any proof of earnings.
*** Loan here Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
